Guy with lifted Toyoya and boat: “Hey, Buddy! Do you think we can get through that intersection?”

Me: “Well, a guy walked through it this morning and it was chest-deep. That’s about mid-way up your doors. Do you have a snorkel on that thing?”

Guy with lifted Toyoya and boat: “No snorkel, but the intake is just under the hood.”

Me: “If you are going to try it, be sure to stay exactly in the middle. The ditches are deep and one lady wander too close to the edge last night. You can see her SUV on its side in the ditch just past the stop sign.”

Guy with lifted Toyoya and boat: “Maybe I’ll give it a shot.”

Me: “Will the truck fit in the boat?”

He almost made it to the stop sign. He decided to quit when water started coming into the cab.

He took this opportunity to show off his awesome backing skills. He backed all the way to our road, turned around, and left the way he came.

I don’t have a snorkel on my Toyota, and I’ve been hood deep. Somehow it’s still alive. It killed the lifted F-150 that followed me through.

I think he didn’t want to get his feet wet.

A lifted Jeep, a lifted Bronco, and a lifted Chevy all made it through the intersection last night, but it was only knee-deep then. It is significantly deeper this morning.

Hopefully I’ll never take my 4runner through anything that deep. The carpet is too nice.

That’s because it’s a Toyota. Pretty sure these things can run underwater.

All this makes me miss mudding in my Jeep... Should have had a snorkel.

Right now, everyone is calling for people to stop joyriding in the water. Even a small ATV pushes enough water to move it two feet up my driveway. A woman in her jeep has driven by four times now, twice each direction. I’m not sure where she thinks she is going. We are surrounded by deep water and she doesn’t look like the type who would want to deal with water in the cabin.

No, I would never play in flood water, that is just downright stupid. I just miss being able to off road. My car has issues with some speed bumps....
